Will Window Film Really Stop Fabrics from Fading

To clearly answer this question, you have to realize that there are other factors, which also contribute to fabric fading. They are:

Ultraviolet Light (UV) Visible Light (including artificial lighting) Heat and Humidity Chemical Vapors (including ozone, perfumes, hairspray, and any aerosol) The Fabrics Age Colorfastness

As you see, ultraviolet light is one part of the problem. Window films will slow down the fading process, but will not stop it. To clearly stop the fading process, you will also have to address the other five contributors. Only 40% of fabric fading can be attributed to UV radiation. The remainder is actually caused by visible light, including artificial light, heat, and components in the air including perfumes, room deodorizers, candle smoke, etc. Unfortunately, fabrics and carpets will continue to fade over time. However, by installing window films you can dramatically slow down the process.
